Compare And Contrast Bottle Feeding Vs Breastfeeding

Having a baby is the joy of life, and every woman wishes to be the best mother. Therefore, mothers always look for what is best for their infants and try to take care of them sufficiently. However, taking care of infants is not an easy process to go through. Feeding babies is a significant process for taking care of babies that mothers should consider when having a new infant (1). Mothers can feed their infants by breastfeeding or formula feeding. However, breastfeeding is considered to be the optimal choice for feeding infants, and breastfeeding is better than formula feeding because it gives infants protection, it is digested easily, and it is beneficial for mothers. (2-3-10) First of all, breast milk provides more protection for infants than formula milk (3). Because infants' immune system is weaker than adults, infants need antibodies from their mothers' breast milk (4). Breast milk contains numerous amounts of antibodies, proteins that circulate in the body to provide protection (10). Digestion is an important process for infants because their bodies are still immature and cannot handle undigested milk for a long time, so infants need to digest the milk regularly (3). Breast milk is more easily digested and digested faster than formula milk because breast milk contains amylase and lipase, enzymes that aid digestion, while formula milk does not (9). Unlike formula, breast milk is fresh and naturally has the ideal temperature for infants which helps them to digest the milk easily and without causing flatulence (10).
