It would be a great service to tell girls who plan to work in society to expect the subtle, uncomfortable discrimination- tell them not to be quiet, and hope it will go away, but fight it. A girl should not expect special privileges because of her sex, but neither should she “adjust” to prejudice and discrimination (Friedan 452)”. Basically, Friedan is proving that women are not treated fairly and were considered as second-class citizens. This is wrong because every person is important, and gender should not be a problem. When Friedan is standing up for women's rights, she is saying that all men and women have the same ability to do things; no one is stronger than the other, gender does not
