Compare And Contrast Basketball

Compare and Contrast Basketball is not a that one just plays. Basketball has a lot of fundamentals and different aspects to it. One of the most important aspects of basketball it's the positions. The position vary anywhere from the point guard, guards, power forward and center. The point guard is the brain of the team. “Some of these factors include how the coach wants his/her point guard to operate, the style of play, the abilities and talents of the teammates surrounding the point guard, and the skills, temperament, experience and leadership qualities of the point guard him/herself” (gels). They coordinate the team and call the plays. They coordinate and pass and pass the ball to the team. To be the point guard you have to understand how to run the team. All four of these are the aspects of true love. A better way to understand these aspects are by comparing them to those of basketball. Love and basketball aspects are are similar in some way. For example the point guard is like the understanding aspect of love. “Understanding is the essence of love. If you cannot understand, you cannot love properly.”(Hanh). The centers in basketball are like the compassion aspect of love. They are very compassionate about there job which is rebounding, which sounds really boring right? Not to them! The power forward is like the time aspect of love. The power forward spend most of its time helping out the center, guards and point guard. So to them time is of the essence. The guards are like the true love and kindness. These are the ones that are or there making play after play, shooting the ball and they get the most attention.
