Almanzo Character Analysis

We watch movies and read books with many characters in them. We watch how these characters act and sometimes we try to act like them. Sometimes we see characters that are extremely similar to us and it is absolutely awesome. I found that I am extremely similar to Almanzo from the book “Farmer Boy.” I keep reading and seeing his characteristics and I could not believe how similar our characterics were and I realized that his life and mine are extremely similar. I am extremely similar to to Almanzo because we both love to raise animals, are extremely responsible, and we are both extremely hard working people. To begin with, Almanzo and I both love to raise animals. Almanzo lives on a humongus farm in New York in this book, since he loved on a farm he was always around animals and raised animals with his family and pretty much just loved animals in general. Almanzo had to prove to his father that he was responsible before his father would let him acquire a colt. I had to prove to my father that I was responsible enough to take care of chickens every day before he would let me acquire chickens. Then Almanzo had to be responsible and take care of his horse every day or else it would die. In my situation, I have to feed my chickens every day or elses they will die and that would be terribly awful. One of the ways that Almanzo proved to his father that he was responsible was the he found a lost wallet with a bucketload of money in it but he did not touch the money and returned the wallet. I have showed responsibility by any time that I find a lost item I make sure it is returned because it is the right and responsible action to do.
