The level of suffering that befall the inmates at Abu Ghirab was beyond normal. They had a mixture of men, women and children which was no comparison to Stanford experiment since they only had men. Abu Ghirab situation was bloody, deadly, men, women and children were raped, sodomized, murdered, urinated on, shot at, interrogated, bitten by venomous snakes, dragged by their private part (men), sleep deprived and all sorts of inhumane acts. Added to these acts Greenberg (2014) gave an account that said, “While American servicemen and women smiled and gave thumbs up, naked men were threatened by dogs, or were hooded, forced into sexual positions, and placed standing with wires attached to their bodies, or left bleeding on prison floors.” (p.1). These and other sufferings the inmates endured and because of the severity of their wounds many died in the process. I cannot begin to imagine the psychological trauma that has befallen these inmates. Notwithstanding, there were young boys in there who experienced the same
