Compare and Contrast Essay of To Kill a Mockingbird and To Kill a Mockingbird Court Battles A man’s life can be saved or put to shambles by a jury in the court of law. That is why the courts appoint a lawyer to help defend the accused, and to convince the innocence of their client to the jury. In 12 Angry Men and in the book To Kill a Mocking Bird, we find two really noble men, who fight for the truth. Mr. Davis, from 12 Angry Men, and Atticus, from To Kill a Mockingbird, fought for the truth, even though one was more successful than the other, they both showed how good of a person they both were. Davis defend the accused even though there was very low chance of winning the trial. For example, in To Kill a Mockingbird, there is a very low chance that a black man would win against a white man in court, but still Atticus comes in and tries to prove the innocence of Tom. Even though Atticus lost the case he pointed out many useful in the case that may help Tom in the future. For Mr. Davis, he had to convince everyone in the jury that there was a possibility that the boy was innocent, while everyone believed that the boy was guilty.
