This report is a comparative analysis of the international business environment in Nigeria and Turkey and it will be used to determine which of these countries is in a better position to succeed in the new global economy. It will consult a variety of secondary resources in order to evidence the research undertaken herein and to provide reasoned arguments, comparing and contrasting both countries on arguments presented throughout.
1.1 Background
International business is a comprehensive term which is often utilised to describe the conduct and execution of business transactions, manufacturing, investments and the transportation of goods that take place between a varying number of different countries, transcending geographical borders and boundaries (Daniels, J et al, 2014). The term ‘international business environment’ pertains to environments or areas within which business operate globally. ‘Globalisation’ has widespread usage as a term describing the various economic, social, cultural and political transitions that have moulded the world within the past century (Guttal, S, 2007). Globalisation sees the world move from the more traditional national borders and economies into the modern ideal of an interconnected and interdependent planet (Ibid).

A variety of different reputable sources were accessed and utilised in order to construct a comparative analysis based on different areas of operation within the business environment in both Nigeria and Turkey, the findings here are presented below.
