Improved Essays
This concludes my portfolio and I hope you enjoyed and learned a little bit more about me. I’ve grown as a communicator my skills have improved as this class has gone on. I’ve learned a lot of important things that will help me communicate better in the future. Success depends a lot on communication skill therefore, it was a must to improve mine. That’s why it’s been very important to take this class, learn the information, and pass the class to graduate. Although, unlike a lot of other classes I can take what I’ve learn from Comp 2 and apply it every day at my work or school. I’ve learn the importance of proposing ideas in the first essay we did in comp 2. The proposal was important for exsplaining alittle more about myself, what I’ll be

After speaking with Mrs. Gomes she told me she did place him at the desk by the wall but he did not need to see the board she was just talking to the class. In August 2016, I was like a sapling new to this land. I tried to grow in the Sauder Business School. Now, after 4 months, I am now able to say that I have already taken root thanks to the course COMM 101 ---Business Fundamentals, which gave me overview and instructions about the business. Knowledge Skills Competencies Assignment The first artifact I have chosen to illustrate effective written communication is my completed portfolio that was completed for my fall semester 2015, PRST 3010 class. The PRST 3010 class, had me look at my work history and extra-curricular activities, and then weigh those against certain criteria, to see if they were worthy of college level learning and credit. Fortunately, my completed portfolio was worth twenty four college credits, so it was definitely a worthwhile endeavor. I would consider this artifact an example of my best work for many reasons.…

I’m not sure why that is the case, but I know I am going to try to enroll in COMM-101 over the summer if it is given online. As for COMM-102, I have written 3 different essays so far with this one being the 4th and last one to be completed for the portfolio. The first essay that I completed for this class was titled “Technology Takes Over” and was about how society has become so involved with technology that many people don’t know how to live without it anymore. The essay covered topics which showed that technology has proven to be a major positive aspect in everyone’s lives, but also showed light on the negative sides as well. The second essay that I wrote was about how college athletics benefit student athletes.…

Curanderismo has been a presence in my life since I was very young. Growing up in a small community in Northern New Mexico ensured that I was exposed to traditional medicine and alternative forms of spirituality. This class was not my first exposure to curanderismo, though many of the readings and videos helped clarify and explain many of the elements of curanderismo that had been present in my life, but had not been explained. Curanderismo is just as much of a form of cultural expression as it is a form of traditional healing. Personally, curanderismo is a link to my cultural and family history, helping to continue traditions that my family has had for generations.…

A strong teacher/paraprofessional team is critical to student success. When a teacher and an aide are working together to plan lessons, deliver instruction and evaluate student progress, everyone benefits. Effective communication is the main priority. Teams need training in problem solving and communication skills and must put the strategies they’ve learned into place. Working as a paraprofessional in the Flat Rock, Allen Park and River Rouge school districts is my favorite job to date.…

Final Portfolio Cover Letter I have always enjoyed writing so I feel like classes such as these help me more than others. Before I finish college I hope to take some sort of creative writing class as I feel as I haven’t given that opportunity much in recent years amidst constant essays on topic that I do not care about. As a writer I believe my biggest strength is that when I start writing I can keep writing almost until I have run out of things to write about or am interrupted for some reason. I also feel as though I’m very good at writing about things I am passionate about and if I care about a topic you will be able to clearly tell when reading what I wrote.…

When I considered taking WRTG 101 this semester I was unsure how much it would affect my writing style. I have always had issues with the strength of my writing and my overall writing style. Whether it was run on sentences, proper citations, an overall passive writing style, or proper use of pronouns my writing style needed a tune up. After taking this class I have an improved overall understanding of the writing process and how to apply it in different writing situations. Run on Sentences were a concern before I took the class, however now I have a much better understanding of proper sentence structures.…

The lessons the workshop taught the children that went through it was invaluable. We hope that we as adults show our children learn from us the mistakes of the past and treat people equally. A lot of times unfortunately people have stigmata’s either put on them by society because of how they look or they put them on themselves and people treat them differently. The lessons that this workshop teaches are lessons that everyone should have. You can spend our entire life trying to instill the values in your children that this class does in two days, and I want my children to be kind to people as we all do; I do not want them to ALIENATE someone because they are not the same as them, different ETHNITICIY or part of a MINORITY GROUP.…

The concepts delivered throughout the management problem-solving course have provided me with valuable simulated real-life experiences which can be applied in my everyday work life as a HR Administrator with aspirations of progressing my career. The course delivery was such that as a student, I was able to use my existing knowledge and skills, in addition to that of my peers, to analyse and explore complex organisational problems. This course has challenged the way I think and deepened my understanding of the problem-solving process, which has enabled me to perceive issues from new perspectives, I once would not have considered. Additionally, it has also allowed me to make explicit and authentic connections between the course content and my…
