Honestly, I am extremely worried about how I'm going to pay for my internship, therefore, this scholarship came as somewhat of a 'saving grace'. My internship is unpaid; as a result, I won’t be receiving any money during the summer. I decided to intern with Community Supervision- Probation/Parole because I plan on returning to the community that I grew up in and starting my career. I want to help offenders within the CJ system who are struggling to start over or need an extra push to get back on the right track. I live off-campus, in a student apartment and I just found out that I won't be able to sublease my apartment for the summer because I'm supposed to graduate in December. I will be in Forsyth County the whole summer but I'm still going
