Module six has helped me to understand more about the community responses to domestic violence, various types of violence and abuse, and to define and explain the dynamics and characteristics of stalking. Domestic violence can happened to anyone, but nobody should tolerate domestic violence. Most of the time the problem is often overlooked, excused, or denied, therefore it is important for everyone to understand signs of domestic violence before the abuse gets worst. Some signs of domestic violence may include yelling, criticize, blame, abusive behavior, humiliation, see you as a sex object, isolation, dominance, or threats. Domestic violence can end by recognizing that there is a problem, speaking out, and seeking for help.
Stalking is a serious matter that can lead to arguments, serious consequences, and even murder. Staking refers to unwanted or obsessive attention by an individual or a group toward another person. Something interesting I learned was about the different types of stalking for example, rejected stalkers, resentful stalkers and or predatory stalkers. But most importantly, I learned that the definition of stalking will be most of time be referred as the willful, malicious, and repeated following and harassing of another person.
