POLICY IMPLICATIONS
Consciousness is the key to ending gang activity, many parents are not aware of the child's gang association. Most youths are unwilling to discuss it with their parents. Which is why the community should acquire to distinguish the signs of gang commotion and to take suitable action. The first stage is to identify that there is a gang issue. People who identify the issue are better fortified to discourse the dispute with their child, as well as not becoming victims of gang crimes. All communities must distinguish the problem and work organized to resolve the problem.
PREVENTION
When working with school and law enforcement official aid in eradicating the inconspicuousness that allows gangs to breed. Whenever graffiti seen in communities or neighborhoods, it is best report it to law enforcement; that way once it is recognized, it will be removed quickly. By allowing a community to look like a ghetto, it will obviously become a ghetto. The sole purpose of enforcing the laws and dealing with gang members is a start to deter and help those trained to deal with dangerous circumstances. The development of a national gang database, accessible within both adult and young offender institution, would provide a consistent means of monitoring and addressing the security threat posed by street gang members and it should be investigated with other agencies and levels of
