As indicated by Stanhope & Lancaster (2014), one of the major of public health issues are assess to care. I live in South Chase Orlando, Florida. More than half of the population in South Chase is Hispanic and the number of people taking public transportation is 85.7%. Two main common barriers that I would expect when trying to access care and facilitate good health of the community are communication problems and transportation.

I feel blessed to be a nurse and make a positive difference in someone’s life. Nurses’ responsibilities are to take care of the illness, promote health, and prevent disease. Nurses are patient’s advocates and health educators for patients, family and communities. I strongly believe this course will not only expand my current knowledge and experiences about community health nursing but also prepare me to be stronger and more confident in providing the best care, developing health promotion and disease prevention to diverse populations.
