We are community health nursing students at Bethune Cookman University School of Nursing whom yearly chose as specific population to identify a health concern. The specific population that is being assessed for the annual community assessment is the homeless people of the 32114 zip code. The homeless role is associated with drug use, substance abuse, disease, criminal activities, and unsanitary environments. Homeless people are more densely packed and mostly hang out on Ridgewood and Mason. They sleep at various abandoned buildings along Ridgewood and Mason and women are often seen soliciting prostitution along Ridgewood.
