Community Matters Agency Analysis

The name of the agency I contacted is Community Matters. This program focuses on getting students, staff and parents to get involved in their community and schools when it comes to protecting and putting a stop to bullying and cyberbullying. The person I spoke with was a lady named Leanna. She was very nice and answered all my questions she even asked what it was for and we talked about my paper. The telephone number for this agency is (707) 823-6159. Among the various questions I asked the population the agency serves, Ms. Leanna say they serve roughly 20,000 people all around the world. Many victims of cyberbullying don’t want others to know so they often don’t seek help or they do not know where to go for help. I think once they do reach out and see all that the agency has to offer they will realize they can become an ambassador for their school or community and use their story to empower others to speak on negatives of bullying and cyberbullying. Resources that is agency provides that I think can be beneficial are their services. They have different services that focusses on helping different people that are effected in a family or school setting from bullying or cyberbullying. They offer a flagship program which involves school ambassadors which means this is students who feel their school has an issue with bullying and cyberbullying and wants to bring attention to it by helping those affected and getting fellow students to stand up for what is right. They also offer services to parents on how to develop beneficial trustworthy relationships with their children along with staff at the school and how to monitor their child’s social media
