This program was started by a group of elderly women at a local church who noticed that several children on the way to school during the winter months did not have hats on their head or gloves on the hands. The women reached out to the school after knitting a couple dozen hats, scarves, mittens and gloves. Our school welcomed these wonderful handmade gifts of love. Nonetheless, the watch dogs have also hosted several father daughter dances and father son nights out at the school. This program shows that our children that men can be just as active in their life and education as a woman can. Consequently, we have seen improvements in the students especially our young men. Their grades have improved in addition to their love of learning as well as their self esteem. Unlike the other programs this is program does not require a populous budget. In my experience, by being a leader that serves as the foundation for her peer’s personal growth and prosperity will find this in return from them. My most positive high school experience for me has to be when I was inducted into National Honor Society for my senior year. This was something that I has been striving to do since my freshman year after I received my first academic letter. But after our school decided to only allow seniors to be inducted, raised the GPA requirement, and reduced the amount of people that would be allowed to be inducted I wasn’t sure if my goal would still be attainable. But after three years of strenuous classes, constant volunteer service, and keeping my grades up I finally received an acceptance letter and was inducted into NHS where I am able to surround myself with others that have the same academic goals as…

I was able to volunteer at a local bank that was sponsoring the Lake Park Elementary School for the holiday season. The school has over 300 underprivileged students between the ages of kindergarten and fifth grade. Most of the students at that school only have one meal per day. Along with other volunteers, I packaged bags that contained candy, toys, toiletries, a blanket, and a pair of athletic shoes. The bags were able to provide the children with goods that we often take for granted.…

In light of the problems with plagiarism, honor codes and systems have become increasingly popular to prohibit the amount of cheating in schools. While my school currently has an honor code, it would be better to revise it so the student culture regarding the code will improve and to ensure that students desire to succeed and do well on their work. To begin, student culture regarding the honor codes at their schools is essential because it determines whether or not the rules would be taken seriously.
