Heart disease (cardiovascluar) claimed the lives of 208 people, Neurolgoical claimed the life of 190 people with 120 related to dementia and 42 due to stroke (citation pdf). Overall, Cancer claimed 136 lives, 34 of which were lung cancer, 19 breast cancer and the remainder being other types of cancer (Citation PDF). The fourth leading cause of death was infection which had 75 deaths, 53 of which were related to Pneumonia and 22 related to Sepsis (citation pdf). Infant mortality in Geauga County is relatively higher when compare to the United States.
