Community Fashion Analysis Paper

Community Fashion Observation Analysis The community or culture you associate yourself with is usually a big influence on the way you dress and present yourself. We see many people who like to step out and try new fashions that are out of the norm but usually people tend to stick to the fashion that is recognized by their specific community. This week I will discuss the relationship between community and fashion. I will describe my observation of a specific community and their fashion norms. I will also discuss what some of the forces are that are influencing the fashion, the image a certain fashion gives an individual and five fundamental attitudes that are demonstrated through fashion.

Some examples from the hospital setting would be when a physician is dressed professionally because he wants to be viewed as professional and highly educated. Physicians make life decisions so they have to look the part also. By wearing well-tailored clothes and presenting themselves in a professional manner, they can do this. Another example would be nursing wearing scrubs for their functionality. Nurses are always on the go and have to have compatible clothing to be able to conform to whatever task it is that they may be performing. Even though nursing is a professional career, you usually do not spot a nurse who is working on the hospital floor in business attire. Scrubs are flexible for bending and running when necessary and also have multiple pockets for equipment and tools that nurses need on the job. I also noticed that most of the nurses or medical staff had their hair back out of their face. I know that when I am trying to start an IV or change a dressing, the last thing I want is my hair in my face obstructing my
