Community College Scholarships

In my life, my family has tended to have some financial issues. I do not want to delve deeply into them, but I do want to say that we could use any help we can get when it comes to scholarships. Even though I do plan on attending a fairly cheap (compared to other colleges) community college. This college is NICC because I heard that it has a nice engineering program and that is what I plan on doing when I am older. I think that a nice and cheap community college would still produce problems in my families income which is why I think that any scholarships would benefit greatly. Any scholarships that I can get would allow me to get the education I want without having to worry about me, or my families, financial future would let me follow my dreams and become an automotive technician or a mechanical engineer. …show more content…
This is the summer that my family could only afford to feed me and my brother really cheap foods such as hot dogs, mac and cheese, ramen noodles, etcetera. My father worked nights at Donaldson's and then came home and slept just to have to go back to work being on call for Northeast Iowa Motors and their towing trucks. My dad worked long days and long night just to provide food and a house for me, my brother, and my mom. Even with all of that working he still managed to be an amazing father to us. Things started to get a bit easier when everyone in the family got some job in some way or another, but even then my parents sometimes still have financial troubles.
Honestly, throughout my life growing up, I knew I was going to go to college, but I never thought of the whole process of getting into it along with paying for it. I think that my situation should be considered when you are picking out the scholarships winners. I would like for you to think if you choose me that you will help a young man follow his
