The screening and assessment process for individuals with substance abuse and eating disorders and substance abuse with trauma have some similarities and some differences. Both of these disorders are complex in their symptoms and challenges, and it is particularly challenging due to the number of clinicians/counselors who lack specialized training and knowledge of these two concurrent disorders.
