Settings, seating and time is all a part of communication this affects the way a person’s behaves and able to respond and hear. In addition if a setting was set in a very noisy environment this will cause barrier to communication as they may not understand what has been said and find it very difficult to understand the situation. However they may not be able to understand the person very clearly and may misinterpret their use of language this may cause conflicts. Timing can also be a cause of effecting barriers to communication for example if you turn up late to a class for the first half of the lesson you may have missed out on important information that that may have been useful and valuable to you. Staff training must be up to date and promoted effectively to stop any danger and harm towards anyone in the building. Staff training is essential because staff need to understand their job role and what to do in various situations. This will enable them to interact within a team. It will also enable them to resolve any issues and problems. They need to know how to use the equipment correctly such as, the hoist, medication and other various tools.
Assessment of needs includes the individuals care plans and action plan. This includes the individual’s information; their information must be protected and secured. Their action plan includes their likes and dislikes, what they are allergic to, family history, medical history and their preferred language. The carers must take this as their priority. It also includes their operations they may have had and any disabilities they may have. You should support towards the service user to help build trust. The carer will have to make consistent eye contact with the aggressive service user, but at the same time make sure they are not intimidating them by directly staring at them. The carer should approach the aggressive person in a calm and approachable manner; they should talk to the aggressive person respectfully and with a low tone of voice. The carer should also approach the aggressive person without any prejudgments.

Human advocates, translators-
In health and social care if someone speaks on your behalf, this will be known as advocacy. This means employing an advocate, who will then represent your interests and express your views by asking you. People with physical or, older people, learning disabilities and people with mental health issues need to make informed decisions about their needs, they may use an advocate to help express them for the decision that they may come up with.

• Have their interests represented
