Be sure to keep your audience in mind when you write to keep them interested in you as a writer, and you should be passionate about your subject to show the audience you really care. Make sure you are not rambling about the subject, and keep in mind that your language does not have to be complex. Simplicity can reach your audience better, so make sure your eloquence is serving your ideas. First of all, I struggle with redundancy in my essays and writings in general so, I find important to use active voice as it is more straightforward. It allows you to stay in track with the main point of your writing without restating ideas and making your writing tedious for the reader. As an educator I have always used simple sentences and abbreviations as I wrote notes for observation records and planning. Once I began studying with Curtin University, this needed to change to a more formal approach.
