Communication During Childhood: Article Analysis

Communication is based on the interaction between people to transmit or exchange information, ideas, or feelings. It is also the basis of all social life. If all exchanged signals were cut out then communication would not exist. This article focuses on communication used during childhood. There are two paradigms that help us understand what communication is in relation to a social environment such as a family or a class room. The two paradigms are Aristotelian and Interactionist. According to the Aristotelian paradigm human nature is individual as well as social. The Interactionist states that both speaker and receiver are seen as active and free members, who make up the meanings which interpret the social reality by social interaction. Spoken
