In today’s society, most people either do not like attorneys or just do not trust them. They form their opinions from stereotypes that just are not true in any form whatsoever. There are many misunderstandings of lawyers portrayed especially by the media showing all the wrong things that a small number of lawyers have actually done and never anything of the good things they do. These misconceptions can push people to not entire the legal field, causing less and less people to become lawyers in this world. A good example of an unethical attorney would be Annalise Keating from ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder. That is just simply not true. Lawyers have to persuade an entire jury that their client is not guilty or deserves a certain amount for a settlement. Lawyers also have to prove to their client that they mean more to them than just dollar signs and will do anything and everything to help them win. Being an attorney takes a particular skill set and a very strong work ethic to be successful. People who always procrastinate would fail at this profession because being a lawyer, you always have to keep up with your work and never push things off.
Work will go home with you, your brain will never shut off from thinking about work, and you can work for up to six days a week. A good example of when a lawyer is most focused on their job is when they are about to go to trial on their case. From the first waking moment of that lawyer’s day, they will thinking about the trial nonstop and would only think about the trail until they finally go to bed that night.
