Common Medical Professional Nurses

In the medical field, there are three common medical professionals, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs). These professionals share a sense of ethics, responsibilities, and care. As well, they obtained various skills in communication, compassion, and patience before entering the work field. Nurses with these degrees can work in settings as nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, and personal homes. Yet, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs have contrasting responsibilities, training, and pay scales. CNAs, known as nursing aids, complete a program of six to ten months. It is completed in a High School, Vocational School, or Community College. Afterwards, the students take an exam to be certified. Nursing aides are responsible of the patients’ hygiene’s, cleaning and sanitation of rooms, as well as feeding and ambulation. In their responsibilities, it includes documenting and reporting patients’ behaviors. CNAs are most needed in long-care facilities and nursing homes. For that reason, they can find job fairly easy in these types of locations because many nursing aids tend to want to escalate into more advanced positions. Their education deviates from four years in an University, two years in a diploma program or even a few months in bridge program at a Technical School. Similarly, to LPNs, they must pass the NCLEX for Registered Nursing. These professionals are responsible of recording and analyzing patients’ medical history, administering medications, and performing and analyzing diagnostic test. Moreover, they work in collaboration with Physicians and worked into creating patient’s health plans. Furthermore, they oversee assigning tasks and informing CNAs and LPNs of any changes with the patients. Their salary ranges from $22.32 to $40.49
