Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy and is most often preformed within the first 28 weeks. (2) Common forms of abortions used during the first trimester are methotrexate and misoprostol, manual vacuum aspiration, and aspiration. (3) Common forms of abortion used during the second trimester are dilation and curettage, dilation and evacuation, and induction abortion. (3) Abortion during the third trimester are illegal in many states because it is defined as a late term abortion. (3) The time frame of a late term abortion is usually based on when a baby is considered viable. (3) When a baby is viable it means that it can survive outside the womb. (7) This myth is just not true, less than 1% of all abortion result in serious complications. Other common myths state that women can have psychological issues after abortion, and women may have problems conceiving later in life.
