Vicki Phillips, Director of Education and Carina Wong, deputy director of Education, College Ready in the U. S. Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This article visited Common Core and its high expectations. In this article the authors examine Common Core through the expectations of the Gates Foundation. The Foundation evaluated the tasks ahead and placed its investments behind helping teachers improve through intentionally designed tools, strategic partnerships, and incentives for the tools to go to scale. The Gates Foundation established the rationales for Common Core. Followed with what is next in the implementation of Common Core.
