A child's personality undoubtedly begins with their experiences at home; but when it is time for that child to go to school, Common Core is the problem. I believe we ALL posses intellectual curiosity. What sparks this curiosity in one varies from person to person. Common Core's philosophy (to memorize then regurgitate) does not address this at all. I believe if we create a system that can identify what sparks/peaks this innate, human curiosity in each child early on then educating them accordingly; they will enjoy learning thus coming to value it.
