A large number of reports have shown that having psoriasis on the face is low and it usually only affects eighteen to forty-six percent of patients that suffer from it. Psoriasis can show up on the elbows, knees, and scalp but sometimes you can see it on the face, palms, trunk and genital area. Topical medications have seemed to manage Psoriasis more than any other treatments. By reducing scaling and itching with the corticosteroid, which has an anti-inflammatory agent, it relieves the pains and bothersome symptoms of psoriasis. This strong topical steroid cannot be used for long periods of time due to it can weaken or degenerate the skin. Topical medications control, but do not treat this skin disease. Many patients suffer from psoriasis long-term.
In my opinion psoriasis is a serious skin disease that millions of people have to live with and cope with every day. This article gives general information about psoriasis and how psoriasis can develop in all different age groups.
