Heroes are not heroes without the challenges they must face and overcome. Various heroes face similar challenges, and overcoming them creates a difference, producing a better world. A hero is a person that overcomes a challenge and may become a role model for others. They undergo miniscule to large challenges, no matter how much it changes our world. There have been various heroes in our world which shape our lives, with miniscule to large differences. There are various challenges that heroes face, such as pressure, defending their civil rights, and defending women's rights.

According to biography.com, the Taliban started to threaten her and denied her education. Although her life was threatened, Malala continued to give speeches on women’s rights and continued to go to school. Despite the danger she was in, she defended her rights as a woman, and became an inspiration to a numerous amount of people. Likewise, another example of somebody who has defended women’s rights is Tawakkol Karman, a Yemeni journalist who has also won a Nobel peace prize. According to Tawakkol Karman’s website, Tawakkol Karman founded a company to advocate for freedom of speech for women in Yemen, and other countries. “In 2005, Karman founded “Women Journalists without Chains” that has played a major role in advocating for the freedom of the press and human rights, and opposing Saleh regime’s repressive policies,” Tawakkol Karman’s website states.
