History shows us what we have done right and what we have done wrong. Allowing us to see what has worked and what has not, helps us make sure the mistakes in history will not repeat itself. Making our country even better than before. For instance, if someone utilizes revisionist history to cover up something they have done wrong and we look back at it for guidance, it could lead us to something extremely awful. Another danger of revisionist history, is that the person could get caught. Getting caught using revisionist history shows the people that they can’t be trusted.
