Commercial Fiction Research Paper

Commercial fiction is important for those new to reading and those that have a hard time enjoying reading stories. I am one of those people that had a hard time enjoying reading stories. Sometimes the imagination of me sitting down with a thick and involved piece of prose next to a fire in the chills of winter entertains me, but choosing to read for fun is something that I recently have begun to do. I used to plow through articles about news, or articles about history or things without any thought about reading a story in a book. Lately, I have found myself getting more involved with reading novels because of commercial fiction. Commercial fiction acts like a catalyst for developing the appetite of a reader young or old. Many of my friends tell me that they do not like to read. I see them scrolling on their phones looking at tweets and Facebook posts. This causes me to wonder what is happening to society when stories are becoming irrelevant, even though civilization was built on the passing down of stories. Fortunately, I have seen the success of commercial fiction for capturing new avid readers. I like to meet up with friends that I see drooling over their phones now fixated in some adventure in the pages of a book. Literature has tough competition against the addictive qualities that technology carries. Technology provides entertainment quickly without much effort unlike books, whether they are literary fiction or commercial fiction.
