Commentary On Romeo Blue By Phoebe Stone

I read the book Romeo Blue by Phoebe Stone, this book is accurate in many ways including the location, events, and theme. In the book report I will explain what makes this book so accurate.

My story took place in 1942 around the time WWII was happening. It had real events in it like Felicity's Mother and Father being ally spies, but not just her parents other family members also got drafted and entered to be in the war like her Uncle Gideon. Felicity moved to Bottlebay, Maine, with her grandparents because her parents couldn't stand that there would be bombs dropped daily. So they took her to Maine which at first upset Felicity because she felt that it was unfair that she was safe and her parents had to face the war.
But just like in the past, this book described some of the rules made by the government like rationing. They had to ration almost everything mostly sugars, coffee, and so much more. Not only that but the author also described how Maine's coast had to keep their windows darkened, and how they even had a curfew that was very strict.

Not having a good relationship with your family could make you feel alone, you really need somebody there to go through the tough times with, and anything could happen during the war. Starting out with a good healthy relationship could also be a sad thing because of losing those friends like how her birth father ended up getting shot of course she was upset so what if he had actually gotten killed that would have been a tough time not only for her, but for her whole

Incomplete: So far I have read that Romeo loved Rosaline, he kissed Juliet and they fell in love, they got married secretly, Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo killed Tybalt, Romeo was banished, and Juliet took a potion so she would appear dead and not have to marry Paris. I think a lot of people of many ages would enjoy Romeo and Juliet because it involves drama and romance. It is really interesting to already know what happens in the end but not know exactly how it happens. I would say this book is very hard because the old language they use is hard to understand, but we get a translation which makes it much easier.…

“When we're in love, we tend not to see the bad side of someone. That's the pathetic part of being in love. Sometimes even the worst person in the world can be the best person for your own belief” (Author Unknown). In Romeo and Juliet, the protagonist, Juliet, will agree with this statement, as she was able to overlook the major flaws Romeo has in his unstable personality. Romeo’s impulsive attitude becomes his Achilles heel, which plays a big part in his and Juliet’s tragic death.…

1.) In the story “Editha,” I think the real hero of this tale is George, Editha’s fiancé. He had his own opinions about the war; yet, he ended up going because he knew that was what Editha and the town’s people wanted from him. He did not back out of the position he was given by the town’s people in their military company, nor did he let Editha down when he knew this was what she wished. He buried his doubts and ideas about the war before heading off to combat with an idea of the odds against him.…

Many people can easily agree that Romeo and Juliet is one the most tragic plays ever. Romeo and Juliet is a romantic, and tragic, play by William Shakespeare. The story is about two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, who cannot be together because of a family feud, but still do. There are many characters who contrast each other, also known as foils, such as Romeo and Mercutio, Tybalt and Benvolio, and lastly Juliet and the Nurse.…

One’s imperfections can become extremely costly to the point where they become dangerous and can lead to one’s downfall. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, one’s flaw can also be the attribute that helps propel oneself into a downward spiral. Romeo’s personal weaknesses led to tragic consequences because they were a destructive force capable of causing large detriments to his character. This is demonstrated when Romeo’s infatuation with Juliet led him to neglect the value of life, when his instability caused him to over dramatize disappointing situations and when his impulsiveness caused him to misjudge the severity of his actions. Romeo’s infatuation with Juliet led him to neglect the value of life because he felt that having her…

The Heart Wants What It Wants by Selena Gomez describes the way Juliet feels towards Romeo, and describing some of the situations that happen within the play. The song is about how you cannot control who you fall in love with, friend or foe, and it can be a painful journey. In the line, “Save your advice 'cause I won't hear,” relates to the Nurse trying to convince Juliet that Paris would be the better choice over Romeo because marrying Paris wouldn’t cause any problems, but with Romeo there would be commotion. The line, “There's a million reasons why I should give you up, but the heart wants what it wants,” can relate to both Juliet and Romeo’s feelings because there are many reasons why their relationship won’t be successful with their family’s feuding.…
