Letter of recommendation for Zachary Warlow’s graduate application: I am very pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Zachary Warlow. Zachary is currently working as a Readjustment Counseling Therapist here at the Columbia Vet Center. I have worked closely with Zachary over the course of the past 12 months, serving as his Supervisor and colleague. Due to the nature of our work, and our shared status as Veterans I have come to know Zachary very well. His intense and curious desire to continue learning and improving his skill set as a therapist is remarkable.…
Patrick Henry was a man that was an American attorney, planter, and politician. He was also a orator for the Declaration of Independence, and a Founding Father. He did many things in his lifetime that went down in history from leading the Opposition to the Stamp Act to giving one of the best American speeches in the History of America. That speech was the “Give me Liberty…or give me Death!” speech. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjwonvar-3g)…
V-J day is as celebratory day for the Americans. The main focus of V-J day is on Japan. This is a day where people celebrate Japan’s surrender. After many nukes, and many destroyed cities, this big devastation in Japan forced to Japanese to surrender or else their entire nation would be utterly destroyed.…

I am Daphne Williams, I'm originally from a small town near Pensacola, FL where growing up my parents pushed to work hard and do right by my elders. I never thought going to school to further my studies would be an option being that it wasn’t enforced in my household growing up. A few years after graduation of high school I joined the service after realizing that minimum wage wasn't exactly what I wanted to continue with. At the time of joining the service I realized I wanted to be capable of doing so much more but had little or no direction as to what I wanted to do exactly. After completion of my first two years in the service I hated it until I crossed paths with a great leader while deployed in Afghanistan.…

The freedom citizens in the United States is what sets the country apart from many others. This freedom, however, did not come easily. Many U.S. citizens were more than willing to risk their lives for the future of the country. But was all of that sacrifice truly worth it if the only citizens that gained freedom were white males? The United States eventually, however, reached a point where it would allow all races, gender, etc., equal freedoms.…
Our Flag Have you ever put deep thought into something that seemed so simple? The 13 red and white stripes, and 50 white stars outlined in blue are truly more than a piece of cloth. The United States Flag is a beautiful symbol of America. When I glance at the American flag, the feeling of pride fills my body. I am very proud to live in America, where our soldiers fought proudly with the flag by their side.…
Commanding Airmen overseas in combat and honorably representing the U.S. Air Force internationally has taught me to be a leader and a professional, qualities that have benefited me in and out of uniform. Deployments have given me the opportunity to interact and work with individuals from numerous cultures, and the experience taught me that through recognition and understanding of different cultures, better relationships can be fostered by opening the lines of communications. Continued education, from leadership school, to tactical and positional upgrades, to a Public Health graduate student, was a big part in my military career. To continue to learn and build upon my experience has led me to be successful aviator, leader and I believe that it will lead me to become a successful physician in the future.…
Good Afternoon, It’s a great honor to attend this Fourth of July celebration in which you have allowed me to speak to the community on this beautiful day. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to reflect on the reason we celebrate Independence Day. This day is one of America’s holidays that is celebrated every year in the United States as a Federal holiday. I would like to give you a little history about the Fourth of July; This day was told to be the day that America commemorated the birth of the United States of America as an Independent nation. July 4, 1776, was not the day Continental Congress decided to declare it’s independence, it was July 2, 1776.…
When I was in middle school I was very shy. I would have never called myself a leader back then. However, as I matured and entered high school I began to see my true personality emerge. I went from very shy to social and outgoing. I have taken leadership roles when I can to help further learn about leading people in various groups.…
