I would like to introduce myself, I am Amber Grafe the Local Event Chair for SWLA Free to Breathe. We are a partnership of lung cancer survivors, advocates, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry leaders. And we are united in the belief that every person with lung cancer deserves a cure.
I met your son Chad over the summer, he is a very remarkable person. During small talk, I mentioned my passion for being an advocate for lung cancer. He then mentioned your fight with lung cancer and also his dear friend who passed from Lung cancer.
I shared my story about my beloved My stepdad and the man who raised me. He was diagnosed 11/11/2011. My world crumbled that day, it was not until that moment that I ever thought about my dad not seeing me get married or have kids. We talked about your journey with Lung cancer. I asked if yall needed some information about things currently going on in the fight for a cure. It can be very stressful trying to google and know the facts or not. Even as an advocate it's stressful I couldn't imagine what is like as a patient.
