What do you consider to be your most meaningful contribution to Colleges Against Cancer during the 2015-16 year? I think I consider my participation in Relay for Life event as the most meaningful contribution that I have made to Colleges Against Cancer during the school year. I was not able to attend Tuesday meetings especially on winter quarter because of a job I had that needed me on Tuesday nights. However, this did not hinder me to constantly communicate to my other committee members. When time permitted this spring, I actively participated during Tuesday meetings, some of the flyering weeks, the production for Relay props, and the event itself.…

Prior to beginning the masters of occupational therapy program it was as if I was an ancient wanderer in the dark ages, eager to learn new ideas and discover new places not sure what the world would throw at me next. Over the next eight years I found myself at a series of personal crossroads one encounters during life’s journey. Not the crossroad where one sells their soul to the devil for some magical power. It was more of one of those forks in the road, a kin to the Robert Frost Poem, where one path leads to life A and the other leads to life B. Crossroads that impacted my future, shaped who I am and my character, influenced life changes, which led to a transition that will influence me and my family for generations to come. I come from…

So what exactly is a Self-Regulated Leaner? To be honest before I read the article about this for this class I wasn’t real sure. As I read the article I started connecting what I was reading to what I have seen a couple of times in some Special Education classroom and honestly thought it was kind of crazy. However, as I read more about this and heard the reasoning behind why these techniques are used and work, I now feel I have better understanding of what this whole topic is really about and how it works as well as why it works.…

In addition with the individuals that had brain injuries error correction procedures resulted in more accurate route responding then the other condition which was recalling the route based on trial and error procedures (Lloyd,…

A Positive Account on the Behalf of Censorship “Without censorship, things can get terribly confused in the public mind”- General William Westmoreland. Censorship can be justified for a few reasons, control panic and fear, minimize risks in national security, prevent pollution of children’s minds, keep children safe even if the parents are not present to do so themselves, keep certain individuals or groups from being offended, preventing plagiarism, and prevent false advertising. The world is full of terrible, heinous things and sometimes when someone hears about a rather foul topic they elevate the situation by starting and spreading rumors. Someone spreading a rumor can be harmful because of all the false information flying around potentially creating more chaos and havoc than the original information could cause in the first place.…
