Then, she started questioning who I am and my stories in China. She also shared experience of her in the school. As we talked, knowing each other better, we became really good friend. She is the first friend that I have met in the very beginning when I stepped into the door of this school. She walked me to the lunch line gate, not knowing what it was suppose to mean. I realized what I have to adopt wasn’t just the language, but also the culture. Till this day, everything here had change my self from a shy, unspoken girl, to some who is now strong and independent. From not knowing English, to someone that is helping translating at Parent Teacher Conference. I felt like all the success I have was shaped my mother. Futhermore, pizza, is now one of my favorite food meal, everyday waiting for me in the 1st floor cafeteria. Although Samantha moved somewhere far away, she bought me the first sight of the warmth in the sea of people that I don’t.
