Anne Moody is a civil right activist who had participated in several sit-ins. Based on one of these sit in she wrote a memoir Named, Coming of Age that teller on the events that happened that day. Within her memoir she uses majorly uses ethos and logos, while using hardly any pathos. Therefore, by doing this she makes her memoir more credible to her audience. Logos is effective because hearing the unbiased facts about the events make the memoir more credible. One example is on page 6 where she states, “Suddenly I saw a face I remembered- the drunkard from the bus station sit-in”.
