We all have to grow up someday to continue life. In the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, coming of age experiences are a big part of this book that shows different perspectives. The experiences changes people greatly, there is things that could change and are involved in the aspect of a story.With noticing different perspectives it affects every part of a story and coming of age experiences help us grow as young adults. These principles are shown in setting, character, and conflict. To begin with, setting can change how a person feels in a situation and how it causes situations. In the book, Scout just arrived at the cemetery and was getting a good vibe. For he directly thought “it was a happy cemetery.” He then when he faced a situation in that setting, and he felt a bit threaten. “I sensed, rather than saw, that we were being advanced upon,”

Jem and Scout should be let in because they worship the same God, skin doesn’t change a person, and their father is defending a man at that church. But Lula might not want to come in since black people are segregated in the south. She might say it meant only for black people because the church is named, First Purchase African M.E. Church. There is men that gamble behind the church and she could possibly not want the boys to end up like those men.
