One of the final assignments for Bertachi-love’s 205 Business Communication, was to as a group of four create a formal report, otherwise known as a business proposal. My group contained the usual group members: the lead who no one voted as lead, the one member who does little to no work, and the two members that follow along. Though towards the end we build upon each other’s work, in the beginning the “team” did not feel like a team at all. Aanchal who took the dominant role of lead, had placed herself in charge of a more supervisorial role. She would plan group meeting around all of our schedules but would end up changing them at short notice to fit her schedule. Apart from that during meetings she would ascribe both me and Shenna, another team member of our, assignments and would then over look them like a C.E.O. However, when asked if she could please show her work she would either, change the subject, say she produced it but would not show it or, come up with an excuse. Real work was not produced by her until I created the rough outline to her finance page, which she then tweaked around and called her own. Moving on I think it is only fair I mention that our last group member Kevin, did little to now work. Not only did he hardly show up to meeting, but he was only in charge of producing the basic pages, which even after he was done needed to be fixed. Though I believe one of our strongest members was Shenna, I must mention that towards the last week we did all come together as a team to help shape and finish each other’s work. Though some did do more work than others, I believe I learned of the difficulty group work upholds, yet at the same time learned to overcome group differences and try to work with what we have to create a magnificent project over
