Coming Back As A Tiger: Personal Narrative

Decent Essays
If I were reincarnated, I would come back as a tiger. I would want to be a tiger because of the fiery reddish-orange fur with dark vertical stripes that I would have. I love their solitary life, but can still be social just like me. I would want to be a tiger because I would be a part of the largest cat species and be territorial. I would run almost as fast as a leopard. I would run the jungles just like, my family, the lions do in Africa. I would be as predatory as the jaguar. I would be as private as the snow leopard. I would want to be a tiger because of some the inabilities that I have in this life that I have. I would want to be a tiger because I would be a great swimmer. I would rest during the day because of the heat and I would hunt

During this section, we see Lulu growing more and more distant from her mother. I believe that she is doing this as a way of rebellion against her mother and in order to protect herself from being hurt. I also don’t believe that Amy should change her aggressive parenting styles in order to bring Lulu back to her. If they way she has raised them worked so well for all this time, she shouldn’t change her whole style, just some aspects of it. One of the ways that Amy should change her parenting style comes from textual evidence.…

Honestly, I’ll come right out and admit that I have never been the Detroit Lion’s number one fan, or any football fan for that matter. Sure, I had technically gone to each of the homecoming games both years in high school, but only for the sole excuse of being able to put some red war paint on my face and attempt to catch up with some friends. The only exposure I had to the sport was walking through the doors of Phase Three during cross country season. Day after day, I was forced to push through groups of teenage guys reeking with a putrid stench of dried sweat, rotting eggs, and grass stains; the smell in itself was enough to make my eyes water.…

I believe that the motto “Once a Falcon, Always a Falcon,” is a perfect motto to describe myself as both a person and student. Growing up, I always took pride of my hometown (Vermilion, Ohio). My hometown, paired with the rollercoaster of experiences I endured throughout middle school and high school, made me who I am today. Granted, there were hard times and struggles, but I would not be where I am today had I not grown from those experiences. As I stated in my application, I represented my school and hometown at the 2013 Buckeye Boys Convention.…

If one were to ask a young girl want she wants to be when she grows up, she would proudly say a princess, or maybe a rock star. I’ve never been the typical girl though and my answer was always different. Some days I wanted to be a dog trainer or a zookeeper and being a marine biologist wouldn’t be too bad. In middle school I realized what all these jobs had in common; animals. I knew whole heartedly that I wanted to work with them, to improve not only their health and welfare, but also that of the community they were in.…

Tiger parenting has caused quite an uproar in the past half of a decade, and the stance on tiger parenting is invariably changing. Tiger parenting, comes from the commonly known term “tiger mom” which is a mother who uses harsh discipline, tough love, strict rules and insults to drive her child to success. This term was created by Amy Chua, a law professor at Yale who is infamously known for writing Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Although Amy Chua had success in the tiger parenting technique, studies have shown it has many negative affects on children. Tiger parenting is harmful in child development and can cause psychological issues.…

They are the top predator in every ecosystem they inhabit. Until the 20th Century there were nine tiger subspecies that probably numbered over 100,000 animals. They included the giant 660-pound, or 300 kilo, Siberian (Panthera tigris altaica) and Caspian (Panthera tigris virgata; now extinct) tigers as well as the relatively small—and now also extinct—200-pound (90 kilo) Balinese tiger. Depending on whether there are any remaining South China tigers—nobody has seen one in years—there are either 5 or 6 tiger subspecies remaining in existence; all are endangered.…
