Comfort Dental Case Study

In addition to helping those with Medicaid get dental care; Comfort dental also incorporates the idea of Men and Women for and with Others by choosing to help those without insurance pay for dental care. For example, often we will have a patient come in who needs an obscene amount of work done on the teeth, but they do not have insurance. Because these patients do not have insurance, they usually would have to pay full price to receive their dental. However, at Comfort Dental we provide patients without dental care their plan to help pay for their dental care. The plan that we offer patients without insurance is called the Gold Plan. The Gold Plan is discounted and on a patient-by-patient basis. Comfort Dental is in the process of hiring and training new staff, but I do not believe they are teaching these new hires how to reflect critical thought and encourage responsible action. For example, I could be considered a new hire in the environment at Comfort Dental, and I do not feel like they are trying to make sure that I am learning anything new. I know that I have previous experience, but it would be nice to learn more about how to be a dentist.
Conclusion:
Lastly, I have conveyed how the Jesuit value Women and Men for and with Others is used at Comfort dental to provide those with little income the ability to afford dental care. Also, I have discussed the Jesuit values Magis and Forming and Educating Agents of Change in the ways that I believe they can be included to enhance the organizational practice.
