The Comeback I have won so many times before in my life, but bad will always come before the good. For instance, look at a rainbow. The nasty, disgusting storm comes before the majestic, beautiful rainbow. Like I stated, failure comes before success and well…. Let me begin. We were a solid team and had a decent record. Although we believed we were pretty good, we had to play the number one team in the league. My team knew it’d be difficult, and that it was. It was very muddy, making the ball slippery. It was a back-and-forth type of game, and they had scored the first points! I was pretty down on myself because we let them march down the field on us and manhandle us on the first drive! I was pretty set on winning now, with a fire burning in my heart. Qymere and I scored all of the points for our team and we ended up winning! We didn’t allow them to score another point as we went on to score 18. After this game, my team(now family) were confident and rolled through the playoffs. In the Holy Grail of football games for us, we met them again, Fowler. Fowler vs. Rocky for the championship… It was a very important game and also our last. Fowler had one player that did amazing and scored 24 points on us. It was a way closer game, though. We had …show more content…
Although you may fail once, you always have to come back harder and better. It’s always about the comeback and how you take the failure. You can either take it as motivation to do bigger and better things, or you can sit and cry about how that one loss ruined your life forever. My mood between those two games drastically changes. In one game, I was bawling my eyes out because I was so close. I did not let that stop me because I took up that failure and threw it in the garbage. I came back with a better team and crushed all of the competition. I was thrilled and filled with so much excitement. I truly did fulfill my destiny and I celebrated with my second

It was a game where little mistakes could be made and a loss could send us home for good. I was slightly nervous, but I enjoy the spotlight, especially as an underdog. The game went back and forth and was tight going into the final few minutes. We were known as a team that fights and never gives up.…

The summer going into my junior year, I tried out for the summer baseball team. However, although I had never anticipated there would be a problem with my talent levels, considering I had played freshman and sophomore year, I did not make the roster. I was devastated. The next couple of days I was in the dumps thinking about how, if it weren't for me, our team could have been the tournament champs, and nothing anyone said would convince me that the loss was on my back. A few days later, we had practice and when I arrived no one appeared to be mad at me even the coaches. After all, I'd lost us the game and the championship, and the had to be disappointed about not having a shot at the finals.…

Baseball was the majority of my summer weekends, and I would have it any other way. Long weekends at hotels all across the state from Battle Creek to Frankenmuth, we played baseball where ever it was to be played. But these stages could not prepare me for where I was about to play next. The University of Dayton baseball stadium, the nicest natural field I have ever played on. It was beautiful from the seats, the mound, the outfield wall, it was all gorgeous.…

Looking back on these days they were tough. Every night before practice was over we ran killers and I also had to review plays for my new position as running back. To put this game in my eyes this was huge if you were to ask another player they would have said differently. If we were to win this game this would help us forget our last season with a losing record of 1-7 and I think this helped motivate me for this game. This has been rolling over and over in my mind for the past couple days and I half to admit I was pretty pumped and ready…

We won that game because of all the hard work we put into trying to win that game. And even though we were down 5 points at one time, the team and I did not let that bother us so we came back and won. To this day I haven't hit a home run since because of the difficulty for me to do it, but, I always remember, Put the ball in play and good things will happen. It's my motto to this day and I keep my home run ball on my dresser to in fact prove, that I can achieve that goal if I set my mind to…

Before I was even born it seemed it was in my destiny to be a basketball player. My mom won a high school state championship and was some kind of legend in town. When she first signed me up to play in our town rec league, all of the men who ran the league couldn’t believe she didn’t sign up to coach. One of the guys at the table then turned to me and told me he was there when my mom scored the winning basket at the Boston Garden to take the team to the state championship game.…
