In today’s economy and cutthroat business world every move a company makes has to be thought out like a game of chess; where each move can make or break your game. In todays business environment it is important for large companies to be evolving with the times, involved in communities and to stay ahead and lead in keeping their companies on the eco friendly path. COMCAST is one of the nations fiercest competitors in the field of advanced networking for phones, Internet service and TV programming. There are a handful of other companies and corporations that provide similar services including Dish Network and Time Warner

While some Differences between COMCAST and Directv are noticeable, the similarities are striking.

In 1963, COMCAST was founded after the purchase of a small startup subscriber cable system (Our History). The corporation is also very involved in incorporating sustainable practices into their everyday operations from film and TV production all the way to the way they run their theme parks. They’re using “Green is Universal” as their environmental movement to implement energy saving procedures into each and every step of their operation (Green is Universal). COMCAST works on reducing energy usage in the homes they supply to and in their everyday corporate operations as well. They do this by making sure their supply chain team focuses in on keeping an eco-friendly workplace and they collaborate with their vendors to promote their initiatives
