The first victim of the Columbine Shooting was Rachel Joy Scott. “I’m not going to apologize for speaking the name Jesus. I am not going to hide the light that God has put me. If I have sacrifice everything… I will (Laura Collins3). Rachel wrote in her diary “I lost all my friends at school, now that I have begun to ‘walk my talk,’ they make fun of me.” (Sachin 2) Rachel was picked on about her religion she lost all of her friends they judged her for her faith. Rachel was committed Christian. Rachel was only 17 years old when she knew her life was coming to an end she was not ashamed of her faith . Rachel gave up everything for her faith in Jesus. Eric and Dylan had a presentation in school they made a video about bullying but first Rachel did her presentation on her faith and what she believed in and how she got through everything. Dylan and Eric was making a video on bullying, they had guns on the school ground in the video, and Rachel asked the teacher “Do we have to watch this?” Rachel was a little scared and did not want to watch something like at school. When class ended Rachel was walking up the stairs and Dylan and Eric stopped her and said, “You think you are better than us?” she replied, “No I don’t think I am better than anyone. The boys in white hats would pick on them and actually though they were better than everyone else. It was Rachel Joy Scott junior year at Columbine High School she always thought it would not be so clicky. Rachel got a led role in the school play her last year of being alive. Rachel knew she was going to die at a young age. Rachel wanted to change the world for the best everyone thought she was nuts and that it would not happen. April 20th 1999 the day that everything changed at Columbine High School weeks before graduation all of a sudden a tragedy happened two gunman Eric and Dylan went to the school and had bombs and guns they put the bombs in the school and went on to class and waited for the kids at lunch, which did not happen. Rachel was sitting outside eating lunch with her friend on the campus. Rachel tried to get the two boys to turn their hate feelings to Jesus. Eric and Dylan hated her more they even made homemade videotapes mocking her Christian faith. Dylan and Eric went to plan b, which was to go after Rachel, and her friend Rachel was shot in the leg twice then then the stomach and then Eric asked her “Do you still believe in God?” Rachel replies, “You know I do” “Then go be with him” Eric put the gun to her head and shot her.
