On April 20,1999 two students executed thirteen classmates and then turned the barrel to themselves. The attack happened in Littleton, Colorado at a school called Columbine High school. The perpetrators were two students of the school. In less than an hour they managed to earn the title of deadliest American school massacre that was perpetrated by members of the student body of a school. A title that will belong to Columbine until April 16, 2007 when a student at Virginia Tech killed thirty-two students. Eric Harris was born on April 9, 1981 in Wichita Kansas and had an interest in joining the military. Harris has been described as someone who possessed above average intelligence and was . Dylan Klebold was born on September 11, 1981 in Lakewood, Colorado and had an interest in technology. Klebold has been described as shy and a follower. Things took a drastic turn for the worse at approximately 11:19am. That 's when the first shot was fired. The shooting ended 188 shots later, killing thirteen people (plus the perpetrators) and injuring twenty-three more. The propane bombs were timed and set to go off in three minutes. Fortunately, the pair was not skilled in bomb making and the bomb did not detonate. It is a good thing the bomb plan failed because if it went off the death toll would have been significantly hire. The goal of the shooters was to have the bomb detonate in the cafeteria and therefore destroy the integrity of the building.
