The author’s intentions for writing this were all of the rumors that were being spread about the shooting, for example “Two hours in, the Trench Coat Mafia were to blame” (Cullen 150) So many people made assumptions about the killers and who they were which was one of the reasons for Cullen to write this book. Which is why I chose this particular book to read instead of the ones that were available to me. This book talks more about that just the shooting, it talks about the people who were affected by this travesty and how they dealt with it every step of the way. Cullen’s writing style is incredibly descriptive and very easy for a reader to get lost in his words and imagine all of Cullen’s words in their heads. Columbine captured and kept my attention throughout the entire book due to Cullen’s writing and way to tie in everything he wrote to the main idea of his book.
