Columbia International College (CIC) is a private university-preparatory boarding school. The school motto is “Seek, Strive and Succeed”. It is the largest international private boarding school in Canada that operates as a non-profit organization but works in accordance with the legal requirements established by the Education Act. Unlike private schools in other provinces of Canada, private schools in Ontario do not receive any funding or financial support from the government. As Columbia International College expands to Nigeria it will become very successful in a matter of time. This is because Nigeria is a very warm and welcoming nation to people from all over the world. It would bring better educational opportunities to Nigeria as well as improving the educational standard in the country.

Its official language is English which makes expanding there much easier than to a non-English speaking country. Columbia International College is one of Canada’s top private boarding schools. It offers academic programs from grades 9 – 12 as well as Junior Middle School programs (JMS). It offers English as a Second Language (ESL) programs to assist the second language English speakers to learn better. Columbia International College offers a Scientifically Tested Total Care Education System. It is made to meet the specific academic, social, emotional and physical needs of international students who do not live and study close to home (Columbia International College). Columbia International College offers various Arts, Business, Computer, Science, Foreign Languages, English, Mathematics and Social Science courses. In total it offers 52 different courses excluding Learning Support Programs and ESL
