Colorado College Case Study

I discovered Colorado College (CC) from one of my closest friend named Cooper. Cooper is participating in varsity lacrosse at CC, at could not wait to tell me all about the college after he committed. Hearing the new that he committed to college I texted him and invited him to get lunch. During our lunch Cooper made it his job to recruit me to CC and it worked. His enthusiasm and love for the school was contagious, when I got home I could not stop ranting to my parent about how I had to visit CC. I loved the way Cooper talked about the block program, CC’s amazing campus, and its outstanding student community. I wanted to learn more so I attended a College Case Study Night and met the Vice President of Enrollment, Mark Hatch, who shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity CC provides. It was not until I visited CC this summer that I knew for certain it was where I belonged. I felt at home and pictured myself there for the next four years. I love the close-knit community and engaging environment that you feel the moment you step onto CC’s beautiful campus. The block programming is the most unique and avant garde aspect that attracted me to to CC. Specializing in one subject at a time plays perfectly into my learning style and is the most beneficial way for me to achieve success. Having to only focus on one subject at a time will help my time management skills and help me develop into a more productive and better student. Block scheduling will parallel the experience I had during my Spanish Exchange Program when I only spoke Spanish for two weeks straight.
