1. The color visual system is a major component of a human because it helps us interpret between the color, depth, size, and shape of an object. In asking to create a synthetic or artificial color visual system you would first need to create an eyeball that could mend its size to the person’s eye socket. Thus theoretically making an artificial retina in the process of making the eyeball. This would have to take the creation of artificial photoreceptors as well that could connect to neurons in the brain to create the image for the blind person to see. The key component in the blind person gaining sight is the creation of artificial photoreceptors because they detect light. Photoreceptors convert information into chemical signals that stimulate neurons that process movement, color, and details that the brain can interpret. With the photoreceptor doing these tasks the information then passes the optic nerve that of which connects directly to the brain …show more content…
Mrs. Lopez ran into many roadblocks in doing her research with the Coachella valley farm workers. She used a field research to gather information and data on these workers of how their environment, working hours, and wages were to complete a justification that these workers were being overworked. It was ethically vital to tell us this story as a narrative to keep the story more personal. The point in having this story told in a narrative tone is for Mrs. Lopez to put the students in her perspective as all the events unfold during the story. A main challenge for us students is to think what would we have done in Mrs. Lopez situations that could keep ourselves composed, but also keep the research ethically sound as well. I learned that one could keep their ethics and morals with them no matter how bad a situation may be. As bad as events got during this research Mrs. Lopez stayed composed and also being fully aware of her mental state was able to preservere through adversity and
