Color Self Reflection

Improved Essays
My results for the color self-quiz were virtually indistinguishable. However, one color in the self-quiz outshone the rest. According to that color, I should be a person that is responsible, loyal, and utmost organize; I am also extremely boring, tend to resist to changes, and lack originality. As I look through the color card, I found many of descriptions surprising, yet, accurate. Hence, I accept most characteristics described in theat card, particularly responsibility, dependability, and perfectibility. Responsibility is like an addiction to me, I would feel guilty if I fail to complete all my mandatory tasks. My school life is a perfect example of this responsibility. Everyday, I would plan out my after school schedule; such as whether I have time to play some video games or to hang out with friends after i finished all my homework. I even plan out the order of completing my homework. If there’s an incident that interferes with my schedule, I would not be able to sleep; in fact, I would reschedule everything (all nighters).
From what I noticed over the years, I am a dependable person, entrusted by most of my friends to get the job done. I noticed I am the go to person for help within the group that I usually hang out with. And I am not surprised

One such thing is having excessively high standards on everything. Everything that I own has to be organized or else I will become infuriated. My possessions have to be high quality, my textbooks have to be in mint condition. Furthermore, my monitor has to have a high resolution and all the program that I run has to be pretty and have tons of function. This is a flaw in my opinion because not everything in the world is perfect. For instance, I would have trouble getting along with people in society with those high standards. I would have trouble financially since close to perfection goods generally costs much more than the

Personally, I would prefer a doctor that has had sleep before performing a surgery on my body, I would not want him or her accidently leaving a surgical instrument inside my body. In the article “Surgical Objects Accidently Left Inside” states that “Every year, in the United States about 1,500 people have surgical objects accidentally left inside them after surgery, according to medical studies.” Likewise, I would want my professor to be fully rested to be able to answer all the questions I have during the class and enlightening me with his or her knowledge. One of the main flaw is that not all pleasurable things are meaningful. For example, eating ice cream is a pleasurable experience for most people. It is delicious, but it is not a fulfilling activity. If you eat the ice cream, your life does not simply become more meaningful, and in fact, it probably makes your life less meaningful because it is unhealthy. Another flaw would just be the reverse of the initial flaw.…

In the beginning of high school, I couldn’t understand the importance of handling my responsibilities, especially when it came to my school work. I just couldn’t find the motivation to hand in stuff like homework on time. I actually started to do less and less each school year. I never try to fix my problem because there were never any consequences to it. I would pass all my classes with decent grades with no problems despite ignoring a lot of the work, but then I was called by my English teacher to stay after class.…

During the era of Jim Crow laws, the African American group was severely oppressed and the movie road to brown was a great example of the hardships and roadblocks that were faced in this time where segregation and oppression were prevalent. My first impression of when the film had started was that it was going to tell the same stories and history were learned from our textbooks throughout school, but I was wrong it taught me the untold side of the civils rights movement and that Charles H. Houston was the most influential person to make way for political figures like Martin Luther King junior. I thought it was incredibly that I had never heard of someone who helped in such a big way in shaping how the American culture was formed and how it…

A leader, according to John C. Maxwell is someone who “knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. As I look back on my own life, I see how my leadership skills have grown and how far I need to go to be a successful leader. Determined, driven, and goal- oriented, are just some of my many characteristics as a leader. Passiveness, stress, and worrying are my weakest point in my life. Demonstrating these point can be easily shown in this year’s FBLA community server project and my role as FBLA secretary.…

My Responsibility to America At a young age, my parents taught me what it meant to be responsible. They told me that being responsible for something is a way to show respect and appreciation for what you own. For starters, I was given jobs around the house, which my parents told me was my way of showing appreciation for the home I was provided, and it was my responsibility as a member of my family. America is also my home— a home which other brave Americans have paid for and founded.…

I must say that I did not expect it too much a focal point, mainly on Black race; to be honest it made me uncomfortable and agitated in a good and bad way. I said this most especially about our discussion posts. If I am being honest now, then I must say that if feel that some people were not as honest as I would have like. However, I do think that it was a good thing because things could have become unpleasant arguments among us students. I feel like our discussions and work should be more than focusing on black people; to me, it was a disadvantage, we all had to pretend to say something nice without looking at the bad and the good.…

Then the next morning my alarm will vary on an hour instead of the 2.5-hour one I have now. This will be done by setting my alarm anytime between 8:40-9:40. From all of this, I believe that I will create a better sleep/wake schedule as it is consistent on a daily basis instead of being all chaotic where I can fall asleep at 2:30 one night and 12:00 another. Since it would be hard to recreate the stress and emotions I experienced during the basketball tournament, I think that this schedule will be the most positively influential for my sleep. This is because it allows for my sleep debt to diminish because I am going to get a sufficient amount of sleep a night, hopefully my sleep latency will decrease as well as my WASO levels, and the fragmentation that I experience from drinking alcohol will also go down since I am not going to be out so late drinking.…
